Individual Therapy
In my work with individuals, I primarily use a trauma-informed psychodynamic lens, which involves building insight around our unconscious behaviors so we can prevent the self-sabotaging of our conscious goals. Sessions with me will involve a lot of socratic questioning, psychoeducation, recommendations for somatic practices and engagement with trauma-processing protocols. I see my work as sharing what I have seen work for the many clients I have worked with while honoring the uniqueness of each new client. As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional I may also offer nutritional and holistic wellness practices as fitting.
Couples Therapy
In my work with couples, my primary focus is on strengthening the relational bond. This occurs through working towards removing barriers to intimacy, scaffolding practices for deeper connection and building skills around individual emotional regulation and co-regulation in and outside of conflicts. It also involves research-backed recommendations for concrete practices for relational fulfillment. I draw upon Emotion-Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method and weave threads of both in a way that matches each couple’s individual goals and needs. I also support those seeking to consciously uncouple in a way that reduces individual and familial harm and sets the stage for future healing.
