Two wooden chairs with colorful fabric seats, one orange and one blue, placed outdoors in a grassy area with white wildflowers and trees in the background. The fabric on each chair has the text "Time well spent" and a logo for the National Trust.

Couples Therapy

In my work with couples, my primary focus is on strengthening the relational bond. This occurs through working towards removing barriers to intimacy, scaffolding practices for deeper connection and building skills around individual emotional regulation and co-regulation in and outside of conflicts.  It also involves research-backed recommendations for concrete practices for relational fulfillment. I draw upon Emotion-Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method and weave threads of both in a way that matches each couple’s individual goals and needs. I also support those seeking to consciously uncouple in a way that reduces individual and familial harm and sets the stage for future healing.
