ADHDeen Co-Worshipping Space

The ADHDeen Co-Worshipping Space is a free monthly virtual gathering created for Muslims with ADHD who want support in reconnecting with their spiritual practice in a way that feels grounding, flexible, and non-judgmental.

This is NOTa lecture, class, or guided worship session. It is a shared space where you can engage in your own spiritual practice alongside others who understand what it’s like to navigate both ADHD and faith. The intention is to reduce isolation and create gentle structure, while still honoring your autonomy and individual way of connecting.

At the heart of this space is a concept known as body doubling.

Body doubling is an evidence-informed support strategy often used
by people with ADHD, where simply being in the presence of others—
physically or virtually—can make it easier to begin and complete or
sustain tasks

The presence of others can help regulate attention, reduce overwhelm, and create a subtle sense of accountability without pressure. In this space, body doubling is applied to spiritual practice, allowing you to reconnect with your deen in a way that feels supported rather than forced.

Each session follows this structure:

1.) a brief check-in to arrive
2.) a moment to set intentions on how you might use the time
3.) a period of independent worship, spiritual practice or engagement in a task you've been avoiding

You can pray, read, reflect, journal, make dhikr, re-pot a plant, work on that budget you have been meaning to do for
4 months! What you work on doesn't have to be stereotypically religious or spiritual. Anything can be an act of worship when we make the right intention!

The session closes with a short check-out to help you transition back into your day with a sense of grounding and presence. There is no
expectation to perform or show up in any specific way. Just be you!

You are free to keep your camera on or off depending on what feels most comfortable.

This space is especially supportive for those who struggle with consistency in their spiritual practice, feel disconnected from community, or find traditional religious spaces difficult to navigate due to ADHD-related challenges. It is also part of the broader ADHDeeners community—a free pilot space designed to support ADHD Muslims through connection, shared understanding, and spiritually aligned structure.

You’re not alone in trying to hold both your neurodivergence and your deen—and you don’t have to do it in isolation.
